Why am I upset over something that never was?How can I get over this??

Hey everyone, this is probably gonna sound silly because truth is, deep inside I know the answer to my own question (''he never cared, get over him''). Thing is I am feeling so depressed and I don't know why I can't get such a stupid person out of my head. Why is it that we always 'fall' for the people who treat us like crap???

He wants to get laid and since you're a "traditional" girl, you probably haven't slept with him. Don't give in to sleep with a man who doesn't care for you as a person first. He is telling you he cares for you hoping that you will sleep with him. He doesn't care for you as a person and just wants sex.

I think this is a clear cut case of insecurity on his part. I'm sure he loves the fact that he appeals to younger women. It's a real ego-boost to know that so many beautiful young women want a piece of you. He likely fancies himself a real Casanova, sending each of you nice letters and whatnot. Additionally, he probably doesn't really want to hurt you and believes that, in having that concern, his feelings qualify as "caring". Caring doesn't always entail loving. I have friends who care deeply about me, but wouldn't give a rat's ass if I disapproved of their hobbies and interests. He likely just didn't take things as seriously as you did.
