Why do some threads get closed for no apparent reason? If it's because they have gone off-topic, is it a good enough reason to close a thread? I mean, off-topic-ness doesn't really bother anyone, does it?

Usually the original poster requests it closed.
Second thoughts can generally be amended with judicious action; injudicious actions can seldom be recovered with second thoughts.

i think the threads would be v boring if they didnt go off topic occasionally and the OP is still getting a lot of helpful advice.
plus i dont think we do go that off topic-its just most topics normally lead to something else by accident.
anyway it only bothers those who are here to research and pick our brains and thats not what this forum is for

Go to forums, click on teenage forum and up the top it will say "start a thread" or something similar
