Do you count your SO a friend?

Hi all

I was talking with a friend a few days ago and she said that her bf considers her one of his best friends, but she doesn't really count him as a friend. My gf doesn't seem to count me as a friend either.

So my question is, ladies do you regard you bf or SO as a friend? your best friend?

Well, not really. He is until he isn't, you know? I'm closer to my husband than I've ever been to any of my friends, but they're the ones that will be there for me if he ever ****s up and breaks my heart.

My fiance is my best friend for all intents and purposes, but like Giga said, I have fast replacements if he ever screws me over.

I think a good friendship is the basis of a good relationship. My man is one of my favorite people to hang out with, and we always have a great time together whatever we're doing.

Very good philosophy - and very practical.

My SO is most definitely my best friend, and vice versa. He told me that I'm closer to him than anyone he's ever known, including his own family (which is a big deal bc he comes from a very family oriented, collectivist society). So... that puts a bit of pressure on you when you've given that type of responsibility.

(you know, these smileys look so... disheveled... they don't exactly emote the type of feeling I'm going for, lol)
