How long do you wait?

New here, just reading and have not seen the topic I'm interested broached so I thought I'd ask...
How long do you wait when dating someone new to get intimate? I mean progression of touching, then oral, then everything-with-no-holds-barred sex? Does it depend on how much you like the person or where you think things might go?
I'm wondering as my own answer varies from relationship to relationship. I'm 31, a girl and no young virgin, and have had a few fast and furious sexual flings but very few meaningful, longterm relationships. I'm potentially entering one of those more serious ones right now and it seems logical to me to wait as long as possible for each physical "milestone" as we might be together for a while. Maybe. I also like him a lot and could just jump right in as that is tempting. So far, we've done a lot of high school-type making out and a little touching below the belt and that has been great. We've not had any sex talks other than to establish that neither of us are virgins and we'd like to sleep together- sometime.
I'm just curious, I'll make my own decisions but wonder about the experiences here especially for those of you over 25.

I dont call it "getting intimate" but I start by looking for signs of intimacy. I get a feel for her personality and our chemistry if any.

My physical signs of intimacy have nothing to do with an expectation of the relationship going anywhere or the intensity of my feelings.

If I feel a connection I dont tease myself by holding out on sex. If the woman is ready....I'm more than ready.

Well, considering that half the fun surrounds the anticipation, I suggest you wait for a bit, whether or not you feel comfortable and ready. I have seen plenty of guys on this website call the women they slept with "whores" if it happens too soon.

I second the above, but don't wait too long. There's nothing more off putting than coming of as holding out on purpose (As some manipulation tool).

As others rightfully noted, just go with the flow. Don't rush into things, but don't hold out as well...
