    Are doubts normal?

Hey everyone---I've been dating my girlfriend for 5 months now, and definately in love. However, doubts come in my mind from time to time randomly, and I'm just wondering if this is normal or not? She's everything I've ever looked for in a girl, and no one in the world could ever treat me better....these doubts just come in from time to time and I'm just wondering.

    Thanks a lot!

I doubt there's anything wrong with that.

Are they founded? Do you two have any fundamental differences in opinion (i.e., you want to marry, she doesn't believe in it or any religious differences)? Have you had any issues in the past, even if they just resulted in a civil debate? Things that could become problems later on?

It's never unhealthy to question a relationship and where it's going, especially when things are going well and there's very possibly a future in it.

Yeah, we definately want to stay together...no fights at all yet, but she treats me too well almost---like I don't deserve her, I feel, you know? but thats such a great feeling, ive never gotten it, and I'm not going to leave, I think she's the one.

So everything Im feeling is totally normal then?

Just enjoy it while you can and don't worry about stuff that hasn't happened yet. It's not worth it.

I understand your feelings of doubt from time to time ... But sometimes you just have to throw that shit out the window because it hinders you from completely bask in it.

What is the nature of your doubts? She's perfect but what? Fill us in and maybe we can provide more detailed advice, bud.

When I'm with a wonderful girl all sorts of doubts pop up. I don't want to get serious and I don't want to commit, so I freak out. Could it be something like that?

    Yes, doubts are normal.

Having no doubts whatsoever at this point in your relationship would be indicative of self-delusion. Just remember that they're just doubts and nothing more. They're not decisions. They're not edicts from on high.
