a lot of people are talking about how pop is dead--it definitely isn't. but it isn't just timbaland and timberlake (amongst others) who are taking pop in its new directions. magnate, a puerto rican pop star who sings in spanish, is also making innovative strides in music by combining traditional latin pop sounds with reggaeton influenced beats.
