    Favorite Beer

I've undertaken the quest to find the perfect beer. Perfect for me, anyway. Any suggestions?

I went to Ratebeer.com and bought one of the top ten beers listed. It tasted like total ass. Almost good save a horrible aftertaste. I guess the name, Dogfish Head, should have given that away, huh?

Next I tried Guinness since all my European friends rave about it. I actually thought I had a bad can or something. Never imagined beer could be made intentionally flat. Ewh. I will give it this, Guinness is like a liquid meal. Drink one glass of that stuff and you're full.

Bud tastes crappy and generic. I'd like to give Amstel a go, but you can only get Amstel Light easily and I'm not interested in light beer. Heineken's okay, I guess. But not great.

I plan to pick up a bottle of Rolling Rock Extra Pale. Unless, of course, you guys have a better suggestion.

Check out an IPA. I like a beer that slaps me around and has it's way with me. IPA is bitter. Hoppy. Frickin' delicious.

Guess I should give you a brand name. Sierra Nevada is pretty good.

That Doghead stuff was an IPA. I really liked it except for the nasty aftertaste. I think it had 9.7% alcohol or something. Very nice.

Negra Modelo sounds pretty good, too. Never seen that one before.

Bah! I'm a little slow on the uptake tonight... or maybe I'm just behind the times. Damn pop culture.

Beer's an acquired taste. The stuff you see in commercials (Bud, Coors, etc.) tastes roughly like unsweetened coca cola. Only reason I'm even interested in it is because my friend brews his own beer and, being as how it's free, I kinda got hooked.

The only beer I like is rootbeer. I'd rather have a martini.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

Tried the Negra Modelo. Not bad. Goes down easy. Very carbonated. I like that. Not too much flavor, but that's okay. Of the beer I've tried so far I think I like this one best. Spring break's on its way, though, and I intend to sample a whole lot more. We'll see which brew triumphs some time next week.
