PC Games, what you got?

Just curious to see if anybody here regularly plays any PC games.

Specifically...

- C&C Generals: Zero Hour

- Rainbow Six 3

- Battlefield 2

- Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War: Winter Assault (we don't play this anymore though)


Me and my boys play the first two a lot, they'll eventually get BF2, we use Teamspeak so it definitely makes playing more fun. If anybody here has any of these games and has a mic let me know.

If you don't have any of those, what games do you have, any recommendations?

i play guild wars, its a great mmo cause its got no monthly free, so it's really easy to get into for a while and then take a break for however long. also, the specialists mod for the first half life. its hard at first, but its really great. UT2K4 is always great, and there's this awesome free game, Gunz. i played battlefield for a while, but i got frusterated with framerate issues. mostly though i play console games.

I got tired of GW, I stopped at level 17, none of my friends were playin' it so I uninstalled it.

Never heard of specialists, though I did play some Day of Defeat and Natural Selection back when. Gunz I got into for awhile, but then once you get up into the higher levels, everybody has machine guns and with it I feel like a lot of actualy skill required to win is lost. BF2 is definitely a system hog, you need a gig of RAM and a good 256 to run it well. Same with Elder Scrolls: Oblivion.

I used to play nothin' but consoles, but the only thing I've played on my Xbox recently is Ninja Gaiden.

GW really is only fun if you have friends on it, so that makes sense. the specialists is really worth a shot, its like max payne multiplayer, really great. I have 1 and a quarter gigs of ram and a radeon x800 pro, but it still chugs on occasion which gets to me. i rarely play my old xbox anymore, but i got a 360 (actually have had it since launch, but there was a gaming drought) so that's been taking up my time. though its been doing the red lights of death thing which has made me want to chase down peter moore and punch him in the crotch. more likely however, i'll just end up taking advantage of walmart, and replacing it.

I'm a pro Quake 4 player right now, I'll be releasing a frag video soon.

I used to play Counter-Strike, made a couple grand off of that, then finished up last year. Raven Shield was fun, but I never did anything professional with it.

Battlefield 2 is a lot of fun, but I'm nowhere near good enough to be making money, so I don't play at all.

hmm, when I actually find time to PLAY games, I'm currently playing BF2, occasional WoW, and still trying to finish my 100% for San Andreas. (I don't play consoles much these days) I also just got back into Age of Mythology. I'm waaay more of a casual gamer than I used to be.

When you spend 8-14 hour days working ON games or game related things, the last thing my hands, neck, and shoulder want me to do is sit in front of a desk any longer.
