I've recently met a girl whom I've become interested in. I want to ask her out without any pressure, but I know she hangs out with this one dude and they seem to be pretty close. I'm not sure if they're dating or not, and I don't want to ask her if she is cause I might come across as getting too personal. I want to know if she is seeing someone already without asking her directly.

It's too personal to openly ask a person if they're in a relationship? That seems like A) the proper way to do it, and B) not a bad idea to get them thinking of you as a potential mate if she is single.
