    interacial dating?

Do you consider dating someone out of your race exciting or embarassing?
Are you more eager to let the world know or would rather keep it to yourself until you are very sure?
Are you concerned about the social acceptance?
Just thought this would be an interesting discussion.

I wouldn't think anything of it unless they were black or someone with a strong sense of ethnic pride.

I love caramel skin so I usually find myself attracted to biracial (black/white) or light-black girls so long as the facial features are attractive. I don't really care what others think. I care about what I think.

I don't mind a woman having racial pride either so long as it isn't hateful towards another race.
    I don't chase, I replace.

I don't think anything of it. And if society isn't accepting, well, society can go **** itself. I'm not here to make other people feel comfortable.

Does this make difference between casual dating and serious relationship that can lead to marriage?

The first abundant ethnic group available for me to date are southern black women, my issue with them is their strong ethnic ties, so I expanded that to anyone with strong ethnic ties.

Yes, I'm sure it's possible for me to find a like minded black woman, but far and few between, so my statement still stands.

I think this is the correct advice.
However, I think the op's asking our opinions specifically..

yay, I get to use my favorite word: Depends. There are many cultural differences in preference. In China dating a western guy is apparently the coolest thing ever for girls, for instance. People are generally excited about dating someone 'exotic'.. at least, I am. But maybe that's just because there aren't that many foreigners where I am.

I'd say that it'd make no difference to me. As doppelgaenger said it shouldn't matter what people say-- though I admit it would be hard to date someone when all your best friends are telling you to run just because of race. That might indicate that they need to rethink their friendships...

As long as there is a good compatibility I don't mind either way. Though from experience I found that people with significant cultural differences can be harder to get along with. This experience makes me more open to people of similar cultural ties to me.

    fair enough fras

to answer you moon; i do find people from different backgrounds a lot more fascinating. when i went out with my chinese bf i researched everything i could find and even got phrase books to learn chinese (he could speak perfect english) it excited me to find out more about what made him the person he is.

i personally preferred to keep my relationship to myself and not tell family simply coz i knew they would likely interrogate him for just being a man going out with me not for any other reason. i preferred to spend time with him without others knowing and if things had got a lot more serious then i would have told my family
