Most Disturbing Horror Movie You Ever Saw.

I love horror movies and I can watch most and without having to look away.

But a couple of nights ago I watched Hostel 2 for first time and there is a scene in it that really disturbed me and I felt kinda sickened by it. It was a bloodbath scene and some woman was strung up by the ankles, being sliced open and by some woman lying beneath her, who gets off on the dripping and splashing of blood on her body. Then she slit her throat....it was so bad and I just felt...sickened.

Anyone else ever watched a horror that was pretty disturbing?

Some of my favorite movies are horror movies, but I have avoided the Hostel movies because it seems more like torture porn than horror.

The most disturbing horror movie that I can remember offhand was Deadgirl. The overall style of the movie was like a good Sundance-type indie film, but the subject matter was an appalling cross between American Pie and Shaun of the Dead, without much humor. And to the extent that there was humor, it was dark, extremely dark.

One other very disturbing horror movie I saw was Dead Ringers, starring Jeremy Irons and directed by David Cronenberg. It was about twin brothers with disturbing obsessions who became gynecologists. It was loosely based on a true story.

You could imagine that crap actually happening couldn't you? Trafficking people to slaughter them...*yikes*

I like the Saw stuff too and Wolf Creek.

Someone said the Fourth Kind was pretty scary stuff.

If you two like those Hostel kind of movies, there are a whole bunch of Japanese movies like that.

I hate torture porn, it's just trash.

Shit, especially now that people are getting more bold about portraying rapes, and the masses are reveling in it.

There are no rape scenes in Hostel. And it's centred around sex and because that is how they lure them in and to torture them.

I just thought the Hostel movies were different from the usual horror, of which the majority tend to be based around stuff that would never actually happen - like the Grudge and the Ring and Evil Dead. Hostel is more 'true to life' horror, shit that could and may be actually happening for all we know. I don't actually enjoy watching people get tortured Vincenzo, like I said I just thought they were different and I think they went too far with the bloodbath scene, it was proper sick I think.

You haven't seen "The Last House on the Left", or "The Hills Have Eyes".

Maybe they're banned in the UK.

I was disgusted by The Last House on the Left. I'm talking about the original by Wes Craven. I didn't bother seeing the modern version.

We skipped that scene when we watched it, I had read about it, so I knew it was coming up.

I feel like a quality movie doesn't need to resort to such graphic depictions to get their point across, there are more subtle, tactful ways of presenting an act like that.

I can remember last House on the Left, but I switched it off after ten minutes because it looked crap and the actors didn't appear to be able to act, to save their lives and weren't believeable. Plus the quality of the film was poor and it was a seventies movie and I aint keen on retro horror. Driller Killer or Zombie Flesheaters, other retro horrors that spring to mind and the like of which I think was low budget crap.

From early 80's onwards, some were ok. Evil Dead, Halloween, Friday 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, aren't too bad I suppose...

Hills have Eyes, well I saw that years ago and pretty much forgot what it was about.

the hills have eyes, i seen the latest remake version and there is only one scene that was actually worth watching in the entire movie. other than that, the movie sucked balls. sure it was gory, but it didn't keep my attention.

as for as last house on the left, i only seen the ending half of the latest remake. i heard that the rape scene was supposed to be graphic, yet i haven't seen it.

and as for hostel, honestly the blood bath scene didn't trip me out. it was kinda idiotic if you ask me. sure, i believe that somewhere in this world things like this goes on, but for some reason, i wasn't bothered by it. if you guys are into some "real" stories and pictures, sometimes vid clips, then check out Best Gore - Incredibly Graphic Video, Image and Movie Galleries of Blood. it has real stories of death and violence. shit, i swear, the meanest thing i seen on the internet is a beheading... that shit looks painful as hell.

Gawd, I don't want to see 'real life' stuff - I like horror movies but I am not into real life grisly stuff. How anyone can look at that kinda stuff is beyond me. I'd have nightmares. The difference between that and horror movies is, horror movies are not real and it's makeup effects, that shit above would be real, I wouldn't go there to watch some beheading, nope, no way.

House of 1000 corpses was pretty weird, as was The Devil's Rejects. Hostel is just flat out stupid, it's catering to a small crowd who get off on torture like that. Think SAW on a new level.

Cannibal Ferox and Ichi the Killer are notable mentions.

Worst thing I have ever seen and never want to see again was the beheading of Nick Berg. I still to this day don't know why I watched it and regret doing so.
