    computer problem

    anytime i click on a ****ing link - another web page pops up including the link page, this even happens when i type an address in the address bar except in this case the other page pops up and it seems like the computer locks up, i am a bit of a computer retard, i have done a virus check and it says everything is alright (Norton antivirus thingy)

    any help would be ****ing appreciated

    what browser are you using (ie internet explorer, firefox)

    norton is a crock of shit.

    internet explorer, what kind of antivirus do you suggest?? i actually paid for norton, wasnt one of those free online thingys

    i actually don't use antivirus software. it does me no good. i think it's deffective, and i would rather remove viruses and shit manually. that's just me though.

    i think that your problem is internet explorer. you should go to [url]http://www.firefox.com[/url] and download firefox. i think that you'll like it better.

    i have no idea how to detect and remove virus manually, i will try that firefox, thanks for the help - i mean it

    i dunno much about computers, but i heard internet explorer sucks now. probably the easiest way to get a virus. i use mozilla.

    yea internet explorer really irritates me. infact microsoft irritates me. i migrated to mac..

    illusional do you use mozilla or firefox? they're 2 different things.

    well as i look at the top of my browser it does say mozilla firefox... if they are really two different things, then you got me.

    you're using firefox then. there is mozilla firefox and then just plain old mozilla.

    i'll bet you eventually either move to linux or mac, too. vista looks like a nightmare.

    i also like thunderbird. i use that for my emails.. works great in combo with firefox.

    I replaced somebody's ie with Mozilla Firefox just yesterday because ie kept crashing.

    zro, for virus scans, I recommend using AVG free or some other web-based scan in addition to Norton. I actuallly don't use Norton at all, or McAfee.

    I've been pretty happy with panda software online virus scans too, but that only runs on ie, and I've recently given ie the old heave-ho.
