Met this girl on dating site.. now what?

So I exchanged a few emails with this girl on a dating site and she just gave me her number on thursday. I tried to see if she wanted to meet up this weekend but she said she would be in California till Tuesday. She's a flight attendant, she travels a lot. I've never done the online dating thing and I'm not really sure how often to text her seeing as we've never physically met. I don't want to come off as needy, but I want to show her I'm interested in her as well. What would be my best approach here?

I would tell her to have fun in cali and say you will call her on tuesday to see what day works for you both to meet up.
