How would you want a guy to approach you?

Let's say you are by yourself. You are at the mall shopping or you are going to work. You notice a cute guy looking at you and you're single at the time. You have a feeling that he likes you and you think he's cute. You want him to do something. You're not going to make the move. What would you want him to do and how would you want him to make action?

i'm not that good with strangers approaching me. now if i had seen him numerous times then him maybe sayin' something like; ive noticed you a few times and you have a nice smile. and then i would thank him and walk away.

next time then he comments on something general and i would at this point engage in a proper conversation which hopefully involves a chuckle here and there.

and then next time he winks, i melt and he asks me on a date, i accept, we fall in love and live happily ever after!

If he approach you, then fine.

I think this is a great idea too. Probably comment on something she wears, be genuine like Asparagoose, and don't sound sketchy like a cat-caller, and I wouldn't want the guy to ask for my phone number. If I am really comfortable, I would want to hang out a little more and give my phone number naturally
