DH - Several years ago I was dating a guy who treated me like shit and dumped me 3 days before my birthday. So on my birthday, I get some really lame 'Happy birthday!!' message from him, and I was furious. But you know what? I managed to have a decent birthday anyway. I was in a bad mood about the guy, but I went out with some people and treated myself to a bunch of drinks, got a bit drunk, and then suddenly it was the next day.
I hope you can manage to distract yourself today. Get some guys together, get out where some pretty girls will be... don't waste your special day ruminating about this girl who is clearly not worth the time or attention.

Last year on my birthday my ex dumped me then emailed and said "I am so mad at you for making me break your heart on your birthday!!". So, ya, I feel it too.

As you get older birthdays are less and less important. Why not simply spend your birthday with your friends?
