Do guys care about buying certified diamonds?

Hi! So some of my friends have recently gotten engaged, and I’ve got engagement rings on my brain. One thing that I’ve noticed when looking at them online is that not all diamonds come ‘certified’ by diamond grading labs. It's really important to me that my diamond comes with a grading report, but I’m curious: do guys care about stuff like this when they’re shopping for engagement rings, or do they need a little guidance? I really like the idea of a guy buying my ring all by himself, but I wanted to know if it's even something most guys know about.

if you mean that one shouldn't care about where the diamonds are from then i would have to disagree. conflict diamonds are unethical. that's in theory of course, if the certification is tracable and legit. at the end of the day we don't literally physically know and have to take their word written about the diamonds for it. i personally would never buy diamonds as one can never know.
