girls (with boyfriends) flirting

hey all

i was out the other night and met up with a couple. the girlfriend in this couple was very obviously flirting with me, and her boyfriend was standing right next to her, seeming somewhat indiiferent. my friends even noticed and asked why i wasn't making moves back (they thought she was single).

this has actually happened a number of times, was just wondering why some girls do this? i thought that she might just have a naturally flirty personality.

As you said, she could just normally behave like that. I know plenty of women who are just natural flirts - and there doesn't always have to be meaning behind their flirtatious behaviour.
Another reason, which may sound pathetic, is that she was trying to make her boyfriend jealous. (Unfortunately all too many girls like to do that, I'm not sure I understand why.) It doesn't necessarily mean she was interested in you, but rather using you as a tool to evoke some emotion in her boyfriend.
I wouldn't dwell on it too much.
