I have a better idea, skip the text and call her. Texting is viewed by women as kind of cowardly or meaningless. Trust me, I HATE talking on the phone, I can hardly bring myself to hold a 2 min conversation with my own mother on the phone, but you suck it up if you like someone.

Idk about that-- texting for me is more convenient.. I wouldn't call it "cowardly or meaningless," especially if this guy is just trying to get to know her and keep in touch while she's gone for the week.

As for a phone call-- it can be tough. Unless you have somewhat of a friendship already and have things to talk about, it could be incredibly awkward.
