I'm not desperate, just creating opportunity

I know where this guy lives that I have a crush on, and I'm considering staking out his place then when he comes out, I'll walk past him then say oh hi, and strike up a conversation. comments?

    Stalker Much?

Haha, Just Kidding! I guess not a bad idea, but it could be kind of awkward.

I say leave him alone. If someone catches you staking out his place, you'll be known all over town as a psycho. Not worth the risk.

Stalking = very bad if they find out.

I had a psycho stalker once...it's very very weird for the person being stalked.

not a good idea. If youve already been hanging around people tend to notice. Id find another way. Do you know where he works? Or where he hangs out? Stay away from his house.
everything happens for a reason...beginning to wonder why.

I know that I do things like walk the long way round to get to somewhere at work to make sure that I pass the guy I like . I go on breaks at times I know he's likely to be there . I suppose stuff like that is low level stalking .... but I would NO WAY hang around his house !

I know a lot of people that go the long way just to see who they like. I wouldn't call that stalking at all, but I'm wrong about a lot of things, so I'm sure I could be wrong about that too.

You're right ... I just meant that people DO do things to engineer bumping into people that they like hoping for the opportunity to strike up a conversation .

Staking out somebodies house is an extreme version of that behaviour . If somebody at work was suddenly everywhere I went or was obviously going out of their way to around me , I would probably be flattered by their slightly bonkers behaviour .

If I saw the same person hanging round my house I would probably be freaked out or even scared .

No matter what you do, DO NOT stake out his house. Try running into him at other places or where you usually see him(when you see him) and strike up a conversation or just say "hi".

I couldn't agree more...there's nothing wrong with this. But taking it to their home is too far. Don't go there. Even if he doesn't know that you did it on purpose it may still be a bit uncomfortable for him.

hahahaha.... if some chick was waiting outside of my house just to talk to me i'd probably shoot her.

on the flip side, imagine if some guy was waiting outside of your place just so he could say hello... kinda freaky if you ask me.

yeah, don't hide in his garden and then pretend to be like "oh hi! I just happened to be in the area...."
visiting someone is one thing, staking out their place just screams desperate and creepy, no matter how much you say you aren't desperate.

oh god, what ever did people use before they had cell phones and email? maybe try that.

on the flip side, heck, I could be wrong- it turn out that you meet him there and it's really romantic somehow and turns out great.. OR.. he finds a desperate stalker bitch in his yard.. and rejects you and then proceeds to tell everyone. not worth it imo.

watch... after a while it would be funny if he turned around and started to stalk you.
