Wouldn't he have been a lucky biker had his rear tire not blown out and sent him careening into a wall?

Nah, that much smoke, that thick, he blew an oil line without a doubt. That would explain his slide and everyone else sliding after him.

Bike tires almost never blow out, they are a totally different design than a car tire. They have extremely stiff sidewalls and in fact, when you see some guy weaving on his bike down the street to warm up the tires, he's doing absolutely nothing productive. The way the tires flex, the only way to heat them up properly is hard acceleration and braking to flex front to back.

Boys and high-velocity projectiles. Okay, Rider.

Thought about planes? Maybe I mentioned this already...

I really have no idea how I would go about getting financed for a jet. Do you have any idea how much liability they would make me carry.....plus I already bought a bike!

Not a jet. A gliders licence is relatively easy to get & very thrilling (I'm told). I've got a couple pilots in my family. Miso has looked into it, ask her.

I would try it just to try it, but for the money I would much rather sky dive/surf or go for a ride along in a jet.
