Just wondering when does "being together" start. Is it from the first date, the first night together, the time you both change your facebooks relationship status etc? lol

Being an official couple requires each party to explicitly agree they are dating exclusively. You need to SAY it. If you aren't sure, ask him.

Erhh, I'm the guy so that should read ask her.. We are both on the same page, we know we are a couple. It just was brought up the other day when someone asked how long we had been together and I worked it out from the first date but my girlfriend thought it should be from when we first had sex. Personally after the first date I wasn't interested in seeking anyone else out until I found out where this relationship went so I pretty much was really exclusive at that point.
But anyhow I was just interested what others thought where the point of first "being together" lied.

I always class it from the first date when somebody asks how long you have been together but it wasn't until the thrid or fourth date until we said to each other that we were dating exclusively.

I suppose everbody is different.
