    i'm a failure

i've been planning this trip to Italy, was supposed to leave Sat but I had to tack on a trip to a funeral in Canada to the beginning. I thought my plane was supposed to leave Friday (I booked it last week) and then today I got an email saying "your flight leaves in less than 24 hours!" Turns out I somehow booked it the wrong day.

That doesnt make you a failure. We all make mistakes no need to beat yourself up over it.

So what, do you judge your worth by your ability to book plane tickets?

Maybe you can find a cheap, last minute, 1-way flight to Italy? Try looking for that for the first few days and just start your trip a little later

Can you get a refund? Where did you buy your tickets?

oh no! they'll probably let you change it. they might charge you a fee though.

oh bummer! don't worry though it happens.

one time i was in florida and i missed my 6am flight cause i was partying in universal studios all night. i felt so dumb. i called the airline and they gave me another flight for free thankfully. so i went back to bed i was so damn hungover.
baby ya hustle. but me i hustle harder.

lol. you folks take me too seriously. I guess telling people, including myself, that they're failures for doing things like eating the last cookie or oversleeping, is just a weird part of my vocabulary/sense of humor.

Anyway, the change fee for the flight was about $200 with fees and stuff. But luckily - I might not have been clear here - the plane leaves TOMORROW, not today, so I just had to call my supervisor and explain that I won't be there tomorrow. Which I didn't want to do but it's not the end of the world. I actually get an extra day with my family this way, and my Italy trip will just be about 3 days shorter. Sall good.

I've done this before. You're not the first or last person.

LOL, I was shocked the first time I showed up after 9-11 and the airline told me the flight 'was already closed'. I used to show up regularly 10 min before the flight (sometimes running). Stupid of me, considering the circumstances.

At least they emailed you. Surprised they wouldn't just rebook you, tho. Usually not a problem w/24 hours notice. Must be a full flight to ding you another $200.

I go an hour early so I can draw people sitting in the lobby.

I missed a court appearance the other week. Thought it was an hour later than it actually was. I arrived and the whole court room was in darkness. I was sweating bullets, because you can have the solicitors costs of the other side awarded against you if you do that. Luckily they were self-representeds.
Is it burnin'? Well, f-ck, now you're learnin'.
