Guys who date younger women

I'm just recently out of a relationship, and decided to try Match.com as a different venue to meet men. I met a guy that is 32, and I am 27. On his profile he specified that he was only looking for women who are 24-30 years old. What makes a man want to only date younger women, especially ones that are 2-8 years younger than he is? Should I take this as a sign that he is only looking for a good time and not a commitment? Am I reading too much into this?

I am a male just as you describe above...i tend to mesh well with younger women, they are usually hotter and come with less baggage.

if I can get the younger women still, why not? the older women are jaded and come with too much baggage.

im 33 and dating a 22, 25 and 28 year old. I like the 22 year old the best!

I don't think the age difference mentioned by the original poster is at all unusual, or even bothersome. Men tend to like to date younger because they either lack the maturity of their counterparts, or are intimidated by the expectations of a woman their age. Younger women tolerate more shit, in other words. For example, a guy in their 30s with no job? Younger girl - no problem. "he'll get back on his feet." Older woman - "loser." No car? Younger girl might say "I don't mind driving.". Older one will say "loser." A man who doesn't pay child support? Younger girl "he would love MY kids more". Older one will say "loser". Younger girls lack the life perspective to understand what they are settling for, whereas an older one is more likely to go in with their eyes wide open, and won't make excuses for his shortcomings. It's a lot of pressure, I suppose, if you aren't up to par.

Still, I don't see the problem. It's not like he is seeking out teenagers.

Younger women are sexier, wilder, and overall more fun. That doesn't mean I haven't met older women with the same qualities.

It might not be a physical thing but a mental one. The chance of finding an emotional stable women without baggage decreases exponentially as their age increases (obviously there are many wonderful older ladies).

Well, in my case...anything within the range of the normal breeding cycle would be 5-10 years younger than me. Those in my age group are probably juggling their last two eggs and wondering where their 30's went. LOL

Yes, generally men do age better than women. I think that a younger woman has firmer flesh which could be an attraction. Intellectually and maturity levels, however, are often much different which is not an attraction. If the guy is immature then, he sees no problem. If the guy is mature, then he ends up raising his girlfriend and putting up with immature stuff.
