Dear guys, how would you handle this situation?

Before I get started I just want to say that if you think I'm being a total dick please do not hesitate to tell me!

Ok so here it goes. My girlfriend who I've been seeing for awhile has absolutely no interests or hobbies and its beginning to drive me nuts since I noticed it. She thinks hanging out with friends and family is a hobby, whereas I play a few instruments, am an avid blogger, practice martial arts, and absolutely love all things techs. So maybe I've just been exposed to more, but I'm definitely a geek who is passionate about their hobbies and my girlfriend...well not so much. Am I wrong for letting this bother me? I know I should accept her and I do but this is always a reason for our fights. She doesn't care about anything but getting her degree and then making "a ton" of money.

She used to have hobbies but she was only interested in them for making money. She discredits my love of playing an instrument because "you can just use garage band" (hurts my soul!). She writes poetry but once again she just does it bc she thinks she can sell her work.

Would this be something you'd consider breaking it off over? Does this mean we are not compatible and is there a way to get over this?

Once again, if I'm just being a dick please tell me so I can change.

It sounds like you have a different outlook on life so it could be considered a compatibility issue. I have been where you are, with my ex. He was a loner and all he cared about was WOW and having all the latest gadgets whereas I liked socialising, being in nature, didn't care bout the latest phones or whatever. It isn't the sole reason we broke up but it definitely contributed.
