Does she like me or my bank account?

For the most part, I have no social contact with women. I go to the gym during the middle of the day when nobody is around. At work, I am only around women in a professional capacity. I am a handsome guy. Medium height. Good shape physically.

When I go to the bank, there are lots of nice looking tellers there. They are always pleasant, but they seem to me to be at lot more pleasant after they access my account on their computers and find out that I'm a "preferred customer."

I'm a bit gun shy with women and I assume that they are being pleasant because they are attracted to the money and not to me. Is my assumption correct? Or should I be less concerned and actually ask for a phone number to go on a date? It almost as if I'd prefer to date lower middle class women who think I'm just lower middle class...they seem to be more genuine as people. How do you view all of this? I guess, maybe that's why single professional women prefer working class guys...maybe they are more genuine?

Sometimes, money can be a burden. I wouldn't give it up, but sometimes...well, its alot easier to have a Lazy Boy and a six pack of beer and that's it...nothing to lose and everything to gain.

One of my first jobs was as a bank teller. I can tell you for sure that I was so busy, I didn't have time to notice what was in someone's account. In fact, I was a teller in an area where celebrities banked, and I was so busy, I wouldn't even notice when I had someone famous at my window. It was all about the numbers, comparing slants on signatures, and getting the customers through the line. When you work in a bank, money is nothing more than a mathematical number.

The only customers I really remembered were the ones that came in on Friday just before closing with bags full of coin (tips) to count, the psycho-stalker ex-military guy who brought me odd and inappropriate gifts until security intervened, and the man I wrongly assumed was the grandparent of a cute little girl when he was actually the father.

I was also smart enough to know that regardless of what you make, it is easy to spend more.

Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

As a part-time bank teller I can assure you that nobody there gives a damn about your bankroll. And, however much you may have, someone else has a LOT more. So in reality you aren't anything special to them. They deal with guys like you left and right.

So, if they are really nice and look deeply into my eyes (as they do), and usually greet me when I walk into the bank my first name, I should assume that they are: a) just doing their job; or b) they like me? If "b" would it be appropriate to determine if there is an interest? Everybody is a professional role at all times, so it seems like one can never ask anyone out.

LOL. Cam is just looking for a kick in the ass, folks. Here you go hunny:

Its sounds like you want to ask her out Cam. So ask her out. You're not asking to marry her fercrissakes. Damn, even if she IS interested in your $$$, its not like you aren't smart enough to figure that out. Meantime, have a bit of fun. Stop obsessing over this so much.

At my bank we're encouraged to memorize names and greet people as though we actually know them and give a damn about them.

So... possibly she's just doing her job. Or possibly she's interested. If you are also interested why not give it a shot?

Well, thanks. But, don't sound all tired out and huffy about having to drag yourself to the keyboard to respond to me...shit, that's why you are on the LF website to begin with...because apparently you don't have thing important to do at the moment. So, just look at it as entertainment of a sort. College football is on...you could always watch replays of Oregon State beating Cal and throwing off their run of successes

I could ask her out of course, but she's almost too smoking hot. I'm sure that she's been asked out by every rich guy in the neighborhood. Should I even bother wasting my time? Should I just stay home and play with my spreadsheets before Monday morning arrives in the US and the market opens? Should I contemplate my navel and wonder why all other wounds heal as smooth surfaces and yet navel's remain inverted or extroverted? Should I (re) watch 80's movies, eat lunch, go to the gym, wonder if Indi is being nice to me or just condescending.

So many things to consider. Maybe I'll just take a nap.

Maybe I will. Maybe I will just ask IF she happens to be my teller the next time I go in to the bank. What the heck, I'm three months ahead on the mortgage payments, but I'll just pay another month ahead...an excuse to go the bank.

I'm definitely Mark Ratner from Ridgemont High School...

I don't think bank tellers care. Maybe some do.. but there could be sexier/richer guys that come in there often.
