I saw my girlfriend last night for about 6 hours. today i texted her morning and she responded morning my love. then i texted her again and she replied.

otherwise i havent talked to her

is that bad? lol i mean i really have nothing interesting to say. we usually talk alot but right now i'm just not in a talking mood.

do you have in depth conversations everyday or is there days where you don't talk much?

i don't want her to think i'm losing interest

This is a conversation you should be having with her. Explain that you feel weird getting in contact when there's no news, but you don't want her to think you're losing interest.

Why should you be the one to initiate contact? what about her? Don't worry about it unless she complains. Why make it into an issue when there isn't one?

keep in touch everyday but you dont have to have long conversations all the time. a little text letting her know you miss her is nice or a quick phonecall

Of course there's days were you'll talk alot and other days you guys may be preoccupied with other things or not much to say. If it comes to a point where your worried, talking in person about it would be very beneficial and make you feel better. I notice that whenever something is bothering me, even something little, it helps soooo much to tell the other person and makes you closer.
