    Resources for Food

I am very hungry right now. I'll probably get a sub or something. But I'm tired of eating out!

This thread is dedicated to 'Quick Meal' Recipes!

    I'll start:

    Get some pasta
    Boil it
    Get some pasta Sauce
    Heat it
    Mix the two
    Add some cheese

    AND YOU HAVE SPAGHETTI!

Well, besides the VERY easy stuff, does anybody have any ideas? That way, we could use this Thread as a future 'resource guide' to quick meals!

One that I've heard of (but never tried)

    Get some boneless chicken filets
Spread them onto a baking tray
    Slice tomatoes (not dice)
Add tomatoes to top of chicken filets
Add other stuff (what - i have no clue)
    Bake...........and................Waaaalaaaa!

    (that SHOULD work, right)

So, any body have any idea or recipes you'd like to share?

four boned and skinned chicken breasts
1 can each of cream of mushroom, cream of chicken and cream of celery soup
    1 pack slivered almonds
    1/4 stick melted butter
    1/4 cup sherry
    1 cup Minute Rice
    Grated parmesan cheese

Mix rice, soup, almonds, butter and sherry in oven-safe bowl. Bury chicken breast in mixture. Cover and place in oven pre-heated to 375-400 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Remove. Sprinkle with parmesan. Salt and pepper to taste.

    Voila! Chicken a la Hayward.

Yeah. For starters, you could de-bone the chicken yourself, make the soup from scratch...

You could make crock pot stuff that's easy too. Like chili or hamburger soup!

French Onion Soup - Super Easy Version

Cut up one large onion, sautee in butter til slightly brown
Throw into pot of beef stock
    Add red wine to taste
Simmer til onions are quite soft

Eat it like this, or top with chunk of bread and mozzarella cheese and broil 5 mins in oven

This is the poor (and busy) man's version, but it still tastes good in a pinch.
