I have a situation and need help

I have a situation and i need advice. I am 18 years old and have known this girl (Kelly, 16) for about a year now and we have become very very close to each other but not in an intimate way because of one reason her 3 year long relationship with this guy (lee, 17). Intimacy would have happened long before now if it wasn't for him. The problem im having is that he treats her really bad and is very possesive over her and i know he doesnt deserve her and i believe that she is better off without him. We have spoken about the feelings me and kelly have for each other and she does like me and wants to know what it might be like with me. However, she cant bring herself to finish with lee, go on a break with him or cheat on him because she says she still has deep feelings for him no matter how much she slags him off she loves him. She has told me she is worried that if anything did happen between me and her for example a kiss then she might start having more powerful feelings about me which to me isn't a bad thing but she cant bring herself to leave lee because she doesnt want to hurt him.

I really need help with this and any advice that is given on what to do and where i should take this would be greatly appreciated.

Stop talking to the chick until she breaks up with the guy. Trust me. If she really likes you, oh, she'll come running after you and leave the guy within seconds.

Just think, if she really liked you, would she not have finished? I've been put in that situation. Just do as I say and you'll be getting laid in no time.
