The Dying Heart
Alone once more
My darkening heart bleeds
As I stumble through the empty halls
Where love once flourished
As we wrote another Romeo and Juliet
And we agreed it was meant to be
But you had other plans
As my heart beat fades
As I am reminded of you
By a simple locket
You shattered my heart into
Tiny glass shards
On a calm fall eve
And left me this curse
That consumes my dying soul
My heart stops
And turns black
As I collapse
Onto the cold concrete floor
With locket in hand
Alone once more
For eternality
I would like to die knowing the greatest poison of life....LOVE.
