Whats up with this girl?

I just met this girl a few days ago and she has had a boyfriend for years but whenever I try to talk to her she is pretty much never able to look me in the eyes. Later, she came to a party I was at and I was really polite to her boyfriend and then I saw them start to kiss/make-out during the party so I stopped hanging out around her while we were at the party. Eventually she came over to me and pulled me aside to take a picture. She is extremely cute/shy? and I think we'd be a really good couple if she was single.

Why can't she look me in the eyes? What can I do to make talking to her easier? Do girls ever get flirty with their boyfriend to make guys jealous?

I don't want to be the reason behind ending a multi-year relationship but I like her and if she gets so uncomfortable around me despite having a boyfriend then maybe she should try being single for awhile to make sure she is doing the right thing?

This is of course all a moot point if you think that the reason she can't make eye contact is because she just doesn't like me or is intimidated for some reason or maybe she's just plain really shy.

Either way I'd appreciate any advice at all that you guys can offer.

UM what? Someone doesn't like looking you in the eye and you're all "maybe she should be single", "do girls flirt?" It could be any reason. But perhaps she doesn't like looking at you because she thinks you're weird. I would agree based on this post.

Girl68 thanks for your response but she actually texted me today and we've been going back and forth for awhile. I really don't think she finds me weird if she keeps coming over to my place and who knows what I wrote above to weird you out. It was an honest question and I never asked "do girls flirt?" I asked if they would flirt with their boyfriend to make another guy they might like jealous.

You don't mention how she flirts exactly. To you it might be flirting, to her it could be just the way she is. Many girls do this and guys take it as "oh i think she might be interested". The whole not looking in your eyes can also mean that because she doesn't find you attractive, she doesn't want to give you wrong idea by pretending you are attractive. If she was interested in you, she would dump her boyfriend before making a move on you..unless of course she's that slutty...In that case, good luck to all parties involved.

Alright well I didn't want to say this before because I wanted to get honest opinions but since you guys are going in the wrong direction I think that I should add that I'm pretty damn good looking and don't feel that's the problem.

So with that out of the way what other reasons could there be for her refusal/not being able to look me in the eyes?

Why do you care so much? Some times goodlooking people are cocky and looking them in the eye is like making their head explode. Or maybe she is shy. Or maybe your glare is super creepy and too intense. Or maybe you're so damn goodlooking looking you in the eye makes her explode.

Well here's the other end of it. You pretty much know she's into you. The whole looking in your eyes thing is just an excuse to come here so you can ask people to get on your side and you can ruin things with her b/f.

Seems like not being able to look you in the eyes is because she is feeling guilty about something. Perhaps she does have feelings for you, and if that's the case she shouldn't be with her current boyfriend.

Why don't you just ask her what's going on?

It doesn't matter why she doesn't look you in the eyes. It's like there's a train coming right at you and you're preoccupied with what color the paint is on the front. She has a boyfriend and she's buzzing around you like a fly. What are you going to do about this?
