I'm sad today

I know it goes without saying and it is really lame and it isn't like if we were still together I'd even be all that bothered about valentines day, I'd just be happy to be with somebody.

But I'm not and so far I've only really revealed this to a few friends and no one at work knows I'm now single and I'll inevitably get the questions about what I'm doing, what did he get me, what are our plans. Bleck.

I'll do my best to avoid or deflect the questions. I'd rather let people know when it isn't such a big deal and when I can just shrug it off.

Oh gosh. Would I wish it were.

Actually, I find that the break up is a diversion from the studying. So, I use the all-important tactic of "denial" to get me through. For now I'll just pretend it will change...I just have to get through the studying. I even I know I'm fooling myself, but somehow it helps to keep me calm, and my spirits up and able to focus as I must pass this test!
