Trust and lying...

Most couples lie. Some very lucky few don't, but some do. Some partners lie to protect the other's feelings ("this taco tastes great!"), sometimes it is in fear of destroying a relationship ("I didn't want you to know that I was a stripper"), and sometimes it is to take advantage of the significant other ("I was getting away with it until you found out.")

I want to discuss trust and lying in relationships with everyone. Let's talk about situations where you or your partner lied, and how you worked it out afterwards. Lets talk about the times where someone lied, and the relationship just had to end. What do you think is your personal threshold? How far could your partner go with a lie, before you said goodbye?

The first girl I ever really ****ed around with lied about her age, and pretty much everything... Because I wouldn't date someone who was 3 years younger/older than me. I said **** that.

The second girl thought I was intimidating, but actually I just didn't understand her retarded body language.

The third girl lasted about 2 years. Her mom forced the breakup. And onlyLord knows why. There was several occasions when people who she decided to stop being friends with, would say something to me that was quite convincing (ie: she slept with a guy last weekend, that she was hitting on other guys, that she said she didn't even like me) and I went to her and she was shocked, and always replied a definite no. I ended up believing her every time. So she hasn't lied to me yet, and we are still going out... secretly.

I can't think of any major lies in my relationship... oh, well, there is this one, and it's kind of strange I know. He's incredibly ticklish. I used to tickle him intentionally since I personally like to be tickled a little, but after I realised he really doesn't like any of it at all, I cut it out. At least, I try, cos he's ticklish bloody everywhere! How do you distinguish a caress between a tickle? how about butterfly (eyelash) kisses? I'm the type that needs to touch/be touched non-sexually a LOT. So it's really hurtful when I touch him the wrong way and he's like 'stop'. So one time that happened and when he asked why I was sad I said it was something else.
I know I know, trivial stupid thing to lie about. If anybody came here with that story I'd say, "that's silly, just tell him how you feel about the touching". *sigh*...

I actually got away with it for several months, until I mistakenly decided to dance for her using a bus stop pole. She got suspicious how any white guy like me could shake my booty so fly... and then she heard someone call me "Butch".
