ex gf is confused

My ex gf last week told me she wants to be alone, but still loves and cares for me. She also has feelings for someone else, but says she is addicted to talking to me. Basically - she's confused.

She told me this last week and has already initiated convo's at least 3 times with me and I reply pleasantly and nonchalant. She keeps telling me she wants to want me. She wants to desire me. So basically I haven't been initiating anything and I don't really engage in convo's. Am I doing this correctly? Anything else I should do?

She's not confused at all. She wants to keep you on the hook in case the thing with her new guy doesn't work out.
She's giving you just enough attention to keep you on the line, but in the end, you're her backup plan.

Stop being someone else's option and find someone else who will make you a priority.
