How to be less flirty?

Whats up guys,

I've been going out with my girlfriend now for just over a year. I thought everything was going really well until she brought up the fact that I flirt too much. Until then, I really never knew that i flirted. I always thought that I was just trying to be friendly and such. I guess maybe I love constant attention that I subcounciously do it. So i was just wondering if my fellow members could help me on how to be less flirty. Perhaps some tips on phrases that would cross the line between flirty and friendly.... or any other things that would help me.

Well, maybe you should put a bag over your head, stop showering, and drool a little bit (through the bag) then you don't have to worry about girls even wanting to talk to you.

Just make sure, when you are around your girl, you are paying the most attention to her. If she needs you to stop looking at girls and talking to girls period, she is outta control.

Yeah, I'd be careful here. Some guys are out of control, but there are an awful lot of girls that are ridiculously controlling in this area. Rollerderby's advice was good - just pay the most attention to your girlfriend, and avoid making comments to other girls that you wouldn't want some other guy to make to your girlfriend. General friendliness is always a good thing, though.
