What does it mean if a girl stopped going out with you, but still contact you?

What does it mean if a girl went out with you a few times, then stopped going out with you (turned down dates, ignore when I ask to go out thru txt msg...), but for the whole month would still text message you every once awhile(daily or every other day) and ask how I'm doing and what i'm up to? Just a bit confused... Well, I'm almost confused when it comes down to women, haha.
