Why are mother so....

Why are mothers so overbearing and nosy with their daughters but a pushover when it comes to their sons? My mother is constantly in my relationship and I love her but she annoys me. Anyone else go through this? My bf mother is intrusive at times also. What's up with this?

My mom has 2 daughters, so I can't speak for her, but my father on the other hand, has 3 daughters and 2 sons, and he is the same way. Parent's feel more need to protect their little girls. Most parents feel as though their girls will be more vulnerable, and more susceptible to pain and heart ache. They just want us to be safe
