    Are you gay?

    Or an angsty goth?

That also happens to be gay?

I'm a bookseller at B&N... It's not hard to decipher the phenomenon when you think about it. The primary readers are teenagers and most teenage girls seem to be preoccupied with boys and sex (more or less).

Make an attractive male into a vampire, literature and film's ultimate bad guy, and you've got so much sexual tension you'll blow their "Bite Me" thongs out of their jeans. They're all too young and naive to realize that it's all hormones though. Some day they'll realize that a guy that embodies Edward Cullen's behavior is more of an obsessive, jealous stalker boyfriend than a real man.

I wonder if the appeal is someone who is older, wiser, more experienced and vampire men epitomize that. I remember seeing the poster and being intrigued, but I wonder if the book could have been adapted to film using adults instead of young adults.

Personally I was waiting for Blade to show up and take care of their vampire problem...now that would have been a good movie...I love me some Blade....plus the acting sucked hard...the entire time.

I loved the books - but not the movies, but I'm not saying I hate them. I just hate the screaming hoardes of tween fangirls who just go 'omg rob patzz' and spoil the whole movie. To be fair, I read the books when it came out and waaay before the movie was even in production.
To reminisce won't bring you back, just look ahead and hold on tight.

The books and movies have no character to me.

Just plain and boring...even as a teenager I would have needed more substance to a story.

I really prefer The Sookie Stackhouse novels as at least there is much more humour and fun in the plot...

But anyway the the Twilight's author found ane xcellent recipe for money and fame. Good for her!

I'd watch it on DVD but not a crazy fan...not a fan at all really. Just want to see what the big fuss is about. I know its a love story but I am sure the book is way better than the movie. The movie makes the character Bella so needy and dependent on Edward. In real life, I could not stand that. She would get the boot
    Try something new.
