    Relationship anxiety or incompatibility?

I have been in a long distance relationship for five months, I love him and he says he loves me, he has travelled 10hrs to visit me twice and coming up again Boxing day for two weeks.

He gets along well with my son and we share the same common goals for the future and similar family values and morals.

I have a tendency to freak out when he doesn't call me or text me when I think he should and can sometimes question his feelings or commitment to me. Everytime we discuss this he gets "concerned" about the relationship and wants to slow down. It has now gone from 3-4 hours a night talking/chatting to 20m a day with one day a week on average where I don't hear from him.

I am seeking perceptions on this.

    Hello,

It is probably relationship anxiety, if he is willing to stay over for 2 weeks on boxing day. Then he seems like he is still interested. Long distance relationships can slow down a lot faster then a local one. It is also easier to be paranoid, anxious and worried too. These can lead to being clingy which a lot of partners don't like. My advice is when you think about him not calling or anything like that. Do something with yourself, a hobby, go out with the girls, take your son out on a trip. Anything that can keep your mind busy and off him. This will allow you to slowly over time to not worry about it so much, it will also appear to him that you are less clingy and you will also have more to talk about.

    I hope this has helped.

    Regards,
    Scott
