I was a sonic kid myself. When I played Sonic 2 on the Sega Genesis and got all the chaos emeralds and turned into super sonic, I thought I was the coolest kid in the world. Remember those days?

Or were you a mario kid, playing some old school Super Mario Bros. 3? That was equally as awesome.

I had both, but I always liked Mario better.

Mario felt more quality. Sonic was always, like, he was just about style. It felt so shallow. Until Sonic 2 and 3 when Tails and Knuckles came into the picture.

Anyway, Sonic games blow now. They should just let him die.

i got the NES when i was 4 years old. i had some kind of disorder that threw of my hand-eye coordination and my depth perception. it was so bad that i had a hard time walking up and down stairs and walking at normal speeds. my mother bought it hoping it would help.

we didn't have any money in those days. one of my mom's good friends gave it to her. we got mario bros. it was a miracle because it somehow helped me gain hand-eye coords and walk normally and stuff.

i forgot that i ever had that until you mentioned this thread. i never got to experience sonic until the wonderful days of roms.

mario was the sh*t before... everyone had a nintendo system of some sort, it was like cell phones these days.

well i actually had both and they both had the stupid same concept, jumping on your opponent to kill them. it seems boring now, but when you're a kid, it's the ultimate entertainment.

actually mario does come out with a great line of games, you just have to keep your mind open to this childishness. why do you think the wii is so popular?? it's is also because on the interaction, but i can't wait for drunken mario kart on the wii.. damn that will be very interesting.

I enjoyed both, but was always a Mario fanboi at heart. I was a big Final Fantasy fan too, and generally a huge video game nerd growing up. But I'm not anymore. I don't play video games like 40 hours a week. Really, I don't. I swear.
