    Is love just about waiting?

I was thinking the other day, in my experience all men that i've dated and have broken up with me have wanted me back sometime after 5 months ish...at least that's when they would start telling me they missed me again etc.

They always tell me it's because they realized i "wasn't there anymore". Do all men do this? I'm starting to think the only way men (and probably some woman) realize if they love someone is after not having them around anymore...and does it just depend on which man you wait for and take back in the end as to which you truly love and end up with?

Interesting question Java. It can be said that love is worth waiting for, but I don't think it's about waiting. Certainly not in the context you presented imo. After a break up (i.e. break of trust) it's hard to be together again without a fear of reoccurring break ups. Also if a break up happened, it means something is wrong and that will always be there.

I wouldn't say this is necessarily true, I agree with everything else though.

People can change, its hard and rare but it happens and sometimes thats what was needed from the beginning. People Break up, then get back together, get married and die old together. It all has to do with the will power of the person who is the problem and whether you can forgive deep enough to let the trust rekindle itself.

    Just my opinion

You fear your own anger, the drive to do great and terrible things."

It is VERY rare, but I suppose possible. Rare because it's usually not one person who is the problem, it's usually a dysfunctional interaction of two people that creates the problem. The real problem is the party's unwillingness to resolve that dysfunctional interaction(s) hence the break up. If both people are prepared to acknowledge problems and work on them then it's possible, but then again if they were these types of people there probably wouldn't be a break up in the first place.
