3rd Date Ideas

Very rarely do I bother going on a second date, and almost never a third. But I like this girl, so I'm trying to think of something fun for us to do. My mind is drawing a blank. I wanted to take her to the Improv comedy club, but nobody decent is playing for some time. If I could I'd invite her over, cook her some dinner and watch movies... maybe have a little hot coffee, but that's out of the question as I'm staying at my mom's for winter break since I'm sick unto death of my roommate.

Any suggestions for a fun date? Nothing sappy. We aren't like that. I was thinking of maybe taking her to a fancy restaurant, but I'm not sure if she's the sort that would enjoy it. Bars and clubs are out of the question. This is a rinky-dink little crap town and what few bars there are are filled with rednecks. We'd have to drive quite a ways to get anywhere interesting. After having a few drinks we'd probably have to find a hotel to stay at. Hot damn if that doesn't sound like a good idea all of a sudden...

j/k and you know it. Ummm, can't remember where you live, but I think it's freezing-ass cold there, right? So no outdoor adventures. Dude, I can't even imagine what you could have done for a first and second date in such a place.

Yeah, it's fairly cold, so nothing outdoors. I'm staying in a little BS town halfway between DC and Ocean City. About one and a half hours from anything remotely interesting. First date was easy. Dinner and a movie because I'm a lazy bum. Second date wasn't really a date. We went to a house party together.

The nearest casino I know of is a couple hours away, and it only has slot machines. Not really my kind of game. There's a horse track there as well. That's always fun. Dunno if it's fun enough to warrant driving all the way there, though. Ugh. I hate this. I live in the city the rest of the year and there's always so much to do. Dating is a no-brainer there. So naturally the only girl I've ever wanted to date lives in the middle of nowhere.

You know, I probably should have thought of this during our first two dates. I could have gotten a better idea of what she's interested in. Only I don't think we ever stopped laughing the entire time. Hence the comedy club idea. Grr. Naturally one closes and the other has a comedian I've never heard of. Maybe I'll take her anyway.

mm....take her to a petco or like an animal adoption center to look at some cute animals ? I did that before and the result was awesome !!

It's not romantic or anything, but at least it was fun/entertainin' and most girls seem to like cats/dogs/bunnies.

Well, I took Aegis' advice, modified it a bit, and took her to the casino/horse track. Oh my god, we had such a great time. She lost everything (it was actually my money she was betting) I walked out about 40 bucks ahead from the track, then lost it all in the casino. Oh well. Afterwards we went to a Mexican restaurant and stuffed ourselves silly, had a few margaritas, and badmouthed all our mutual friends. Later we went to the hotel and had a few more drinks at the bar before heading up to our room.

I'm not going to go into details, but lets just say we made damn good use of the jacuzzi. And an armchair. And the bed. A few times on that one, actually. Yeah, I'm bragging. Next day we woke up bright and early at 1 o'clock and made our way home.

Her computer had been giving her trouble for a while, so I offered to take a look at it. Luckily her family was out, otherwise I think I would have been just a tad shy after that date. I went up to her room and fiddled with her computer a bit. This lead to what I imagine to be the nerdiest form of sexual roleplay ever. I played the role of the lecherous computer repairman/plumber and after seeing to her computer I offered to take a look at her pipes. I think I can safely say this has been the best weekend EVAR, and I'm seeing her again Tuesday night before I head back to college. I cannot wait for spring break!
