AIDS, saliva, and a hand job.

My buddy was tellin me he was at a party a while back and ended up getting a handjob from this chick. She used some saliva to make it a little easier to perform such a thing.

He's not really worried, but it struck me with a question. AIDS isn't necessarily transferred by saliva, is it? I was told by a medical assistant that it takes gallons worth of saliva transfer to have a chance of transmitting aids, assuming both parties have no sores in their mouths. Now in the event of a handjob and the penis being a sexual opening, would that pose a greater risk in the situation where the girl had aids? Would the aids infected saliva pose a greater risk of transmission with contact to the penis? Or would the likelihood still be relatively small, if any risk at all?

Give me a little more detail. Is your answer "no" in relation to their not being anymore risk? Or there being NO risk at all?

It slightly increases the risk, but it's still barely there. AIDS isn't really in the saliva to begin with.

Is this your concern or his concern? If he's that worried about it, he shouldn't be getting handjobs from relative strangers anyway.

It's nobody's concern. He isn't concerned at all by it because this girl isn't a stranger to him. I was just thinking, WHAT IF she was indeed infected by that disease... then what? It was just a question to understand more, not so much have an answer to an actual situation.

My apologies, somehow I skipped right over your post.

Yeah, that makes sense. I didn't think AIDS was really involved in the saliva, I thought it was more blood/sexual contact that contributed to that. But I wasn't sure if saliva being involved with sexual contact would of been a different situation there.

But yeah, makes sense. I wonder, if there were cuts (whether or not they be microscopic) on her hands if that would just "increase" the risk or put the risk RIGHT at the same level of having unprotected intercourse with someone infected with AIDS?

    Hmm

Was she lubing him up with her own blood?

    No?

    Then he's fine.
