heres the story
...i skipped school today and went christmas shopping...most specifically for my girlfriend(yea!)
what did i buy her? a pretty notebook, some body wash, and a necklace...not bad eh? well here is what im worried about:
so when i was picking out the necklace.. i didnt really think about how long it should be or anything...turned out i picked out a 24 inch necklace! its all sterling silver...and the girl is 5'8. im worried she will think that is too long and i need some comfort from yall before i go and give it to her tommorrow(its the last time ill see her till after the new year!)
and i cant go back and return it because the mall(that i bought it at) is in a town that is 60 miles from my house and my parents just left for the casino. i dont have any friends who live by me who can take me to the mall before it closes!

I am sure she will love it, lilwing, and she can always switch the chain to a shorter one. I do that all the time depending on what I am wearing.

Like Vashti said, she will most likely love it anyway. But if the chain happens to be a bit long, she can take it to a jeweler and they can shorten the chain, or use a completely new chain too. There's always options, but i'm sure it will be perfect the way it is! Goodluck!

Don't worry lilwing. I am 5'8", and a chain that length is appropriate for a pendant. It should hang somewhere around her mid-chest area, probably in between her breasts. Again, she will love it. Have a very happy holiday!

Don't worry about it.. like everybody said she'll love it... she'll find a way to wear it.. whether it's on the neck, wrist, or ankle... or maybe like wat rose said.. wrap arounds... eh.. it all works out
