I killed it! Mothers rejoice...... :(

Sadly, my riding time has come to an end for a while.

I was out doing canyons with some of the guys I ride with and it was somewhat warm out. I was running really high RPMs and pushing the engine. At some point doing the 5 miles we went into the canyon, my oil pump went out or malfunctioned. It starved my engine for oil, which caused it to overheat. When it overheated, the oil stopped lubricating and my cam shaft locked into my cylinder heads. It caused the main bearing to spin and blocked off the oil flow. My Pistons overheated and more or less wielded themselves to the inside of the cylinder(s).

In short my engine is now fused together inside rather than the pistons going up and down. I either have to part it out and buy a new bike or buy a new engine.

For all of you that worry about motorcycles and me riding one, you can rest easy.......FOR A LITTLE WHILE!

    I miss my baby already

I didn't do it on purpose, I had no warning. It just happened and the engine was shot almost instantly. I just got it pulled apart, the pistons fused to the block, theres no saving her

Seized, not blown. No parts came loose and broke the block up, just got so hot it solidified

    Yes, relieved. Sorry.

Walksfastontwofeet. Looking for women of name Reallyawesomewithaspanner.

Have you ever rebuilt your bike, Rider? That's what my (really) oblique reference to Zen was about. If I remember, the main character does this.

I've doing some rebuilding, but not to this extent. I have to learn sometime, because this probably wont be the last motor I mess up....its part of the sport.

Theres two things that will stop me from riding, dying or starting a family. I do everything I can to prevent the first - I wont leave my child fatherless.

well it's like they say about bikes...

it's not when you get into an accident, it's always how badly you are injured in the process.
