    Am I spoiled?

My parents tell me I am spoiled, because I don't work and live at home with them. I do, things around the house hold and they do pay me for that line of work. No I am not attending school but I have been looking for work, applying to places, while living and working at home. But again my parents think I am spoiled, to me spoiled means, those bratty kids or adults WHO WANT IT NOW. Or who spend money like it's water everyday or they go out everyday etc. I rarely go out and I rarely spend money. If I do ever go out I try to save money as much as possible but yet they say I am spoiled. When they tell me this type of stuff, it makes me feel bad that I don't even want to do anything in general but just stay at home. And even staying at home they consider to be spoiled. It's like nothing I do is right, everything I do is wrong.

When you get a paying job and no longer need your parent's support, you can reject their assertions that you're spoiled. In the meantime, you have it a hell of a lot easier than most late 20yo's that I know.

That being said, I'd expect a hell of a lot more from my daughter than your parents expect from you. Yeah, you're spoiled.

Yes, tree you are spoiled. Chores is not a real job pumpkin and you are living under your parent roof. Bratty kids are brats and "I want it now adults" are demanding

The fact that you can't see how you're spoiled is an indication of just how spoiled you are.

Though I will say that you're spoiled because your parents are spoiling you. If you were my child, you'd get zero cash from me and I'd have full expectations of you doing your share around the house. And I'd ask you to pay a proportion unemployment benefits in rent.

If you object to them calling you spoiled, then tell them to stop spoiling you.

You don't collect unemployment money there? If you do, do your parents get some of it for food, net or phone off you? Even 50 to 100 a month would be something to offer.

I don't collect unemployment, never have, because I haven't had a job long enough to get any.

Are you telling me that even a supermarket won't hire you?

From what read from here and there, she seems capable of getting a job. She just think it will take up her time to hang out. Her parent to me are only objecting her to work the night/overnight shift. Unless op has a certain disabilty that keeps her from getting a job, then that is understandable.

Unless I'm mistaken, the OP is in her late 20's. I can understand parents not wanting a 16yo to work nights or overnight, but as an adult, she would be more than capable of working nights or late. Besides, supermarkets hire lots of people for daytime shifts too.

Then again, if her parents are running her life at this age, perhaps the OP does have some type of disability.
