Should our taxes being channeled towards AIDS research?

So my stand is that with Federal government spendings on Aids research estimated at 19.7billion in the year 2006 and with an increasing time-HIV patients graph,the government should and will expect to see a rise in fundings needed to fund the research and manufacutring of durgs and potent treatment to curb the impending spread of HIV.
However,with poor coporation between educational bodies and budget makers,the numbers of AIDs/HIV infected inviduals has not only not subsided but increased over the few decades when the government move to tackle the spread of AIDS/HIv by launching widspread public campaign and inschool sex education.
From economical point of view,billions of dollar have been flushed down the chute for senseless research on AIDS and government subsidises on drugs for AIDS/HIV treatment.Countries inflicted with high numbers of AIDS/HIV patient have seen a staggering reduction in poor population workability since AIDS/HIV patient are no longer able to perform to the max of their potential.Infact the lose of human talents and manpower is one aspect that plays a role in graviting external and internal investors towards 'cleaner' nations.
When the waste of taxpayers money of amounting to billions of dollars are channelled to AIDS research because of irresponsible casual sex partaker and Drug users,what is tax payers stand on this?Consequently,from statistic,tax payers would prefer their money being used for more result producing areas in society such as education,culture,investments and military.
Even 1st world counteries that prides itself as the medical hub,the surge in AIDS/HIV patient has also taken more of the medical space in hospital which result in a lack of supply for other viral/diease infected patients.

As a young boy,i felt that there was little effort on government to hasten the research on HIV/AIDS but growing up knowing the cause of these virus,my stand took a change-No fundings for AIDS/HIV patient.
To end, with no cause of concern for AIDS/HIV patients and in form of political correctness,I believe international medical laws should rationally be altered and billed to allow euthanasia of AIDS/HIV patient without the need for immediate family's or next close one approval since the biological failure of an AIDS patient is set from the second they have been infected and till date,no cure except treatment has been found which translate to wasteful spending on drugs and financial resources that merely help to prolong their lives.
How can the realization of a utopia be achieved with wasteful lose of resources and poor judemental on government's side?

On the whole I'd say stop funding research, because the majority of people get HIV/AIDS as a result of their own stupidity.....unprotected sex, drug use. I see it as a sort of natural selection.

But then, there's those innocents that contracted it through no fault of their own, such as tainted blood transfusions.

I'm not saying people deserve to suffer, but I'd rather spend more of that research funding cures for diseases that are not as preventable. Given a choice, I would rather help cure a little boy dying of leukemia, who didn't do anything to bring about his ailment, rahter than some slutty woman putting out for various guys and CHOOSING not to use protection. If it was one or the other, you're damn right I'd pick the innocent child.

That is a bad rumor. It is false. Anyone who is sitting on the cure for aids is sitting on a gold mine.

Yes they do and I had no idea you can get aids from a lack of education. Stupid people definitely deserve to suffer. They make me suffer just for existing.

You know, I'm working in a hospital, and the vast majority of my patients are people who are sick due to lifestyle choices. If you really want to save money, there are much greater places to cut back. What about punishing the diabetics? Should we kill them, too? (Lots of them are kids.) How about people with emphysema? Or people with pneumonia or flu who didn't get their vaccines? BTW - have you all been vaccinated?
