A bit of advice needed

I have been chasing this woman for sometime, we are the greatest of friends, we've discussed it going further however one or the other of us was involved. Now we are both single and I have been pursuing her intently we no reciprocated. I had decided that I would harden my heart to her and look for other prospects. To further complicate the matter she asked me to meet her for dinner the other night. She told be at dinner that she was in love with me but has had such bad luck with men that she if terrified that something will go wrong. So I ask you fellow seekers of love, should I patiently bide my time, or focus my efforts elsewhere.

I'd stay patient but because she has some issues (which you could ask her if she wants to discuss with you, maybe it'll help her get over them?) that need to be dealt with I wouldn't put my eggs all in one basket.

If she is your "best friend" and has been for a long time, shouldn't she know what she is getting into with you? Perhaps she sees something she is hesistant about?

Sounds like a good oporunity to say something cheesy that promotes you ahead of all those other loosers she had bad luck with.

I don't know, what she said sounds like something you can work with. She still told you she loves you, I would take it one step further and see where it goes from there if I were you.
