When to tell the Parents?

When I asked out my girlfiend she would not give me an answer until I sat down with her parents specifically her dad and asked for permission. All my friends, on the other hand, been dating and only meet the parents a couple of months after dating, once they know things got serious.

So I want to know when is it good to meet the parents. Did my girlfriend go about things right? Or should we have waited. How long should a typical couple wait before getting invloved with the family.

There is no right or wrong answer. If her parents wanted to meet you before you took out their daughter then you need to respect that. If she wants to meet your parents too then there is no harm in that.

My bf introduced me to his mum within 3 weeks. He didn't meet mine though for about 3 or 4 months as my dad didn't want to meet him unless its serious. My dad is a weirdo lol..

If you want to date her you have to respectfully go by her wishes. Some people have certain traditions to follow when dating so you should be good at communicatin with her about other things like sex, public affection, living together, etc.
