How important are looks?

I have posted here before but can't find my account at all. Hence, this new one.

Ok, here's the thing.
I've met a girl, who is very very cool. I get a long with her extremly well and we seem very well suited. She's the type of girl i find most attractive (on a whole, and looks wise).
However, without sounding shallow - she isn't a complete stunner. She is pretty though for sure. I just keep having these nagging thoughts about what my friends and family will think of her, which is so horrible i know. She's just totally different from my last/only girlfriend (who i was with for 6 years).

I know this all sounds stupid i imagine.
Basically, how do you know if your just 'settling' for someone or not?

Looks are not important at all. Sometimes you develop feelings for someone that you didn"t fancy in the first place.
Due to their personality, due to how they make you feel and the sexual chemistry you share...many many things other than beauty...
I have also noticed that couples where looks are disregarded to the advantage of personality tend to last longer. They share an attachment that goes beyond image and peer pressure. The love is genuine.

Sometimes people are seen more attractive than it really is. It depends on how they feel with themselves, if they are confident and open . It's the same with couples. Sometimes two not very attractive people create very attractive couple. The way they appear ,the way they share feelings with eachother is making them hot. If You and this girl are sharing the chemistry between you and feel good with each other , your family and friends may find her and you as a couple pretty good. I don't know if You are good looking or not but I will give this example - plus - = +

If You show Your family that you both are a nice couple, they won't even notice her flaws

Especially if it's a nice, smart girl . Looks is not that important. This is something You can always change. Personality counts, because if it's ****ed up , there's nothing much to change about it.

yeh r u not feeling that infatuation stage? sounds like it. thats fine u just skip the la la land bit and get to know someone on a more personal level its much more worth it. screw what ur family think.

I think if i get to know her more then she'll trun out to be awesome. It's already leaning that way.

It's not like i dont fancy her or anything, not at all. I totally fancy her.

I think i'm just over complicating things on a massive scale, know what i mean?

I like her, i fancy her, she's very cool. Screw what people think ey?!

You sound incredibly immature if you think that your family and friends opinions about a sweet girl matters more than yours.

I think you should give in to your nagging thoughts and find a stunner marry her, inpregnate her then dump her when she's not the stunner she once was.

What are You talking. He already said that it's fine and he's going to try with her. Why are You digging in it , I don't understand. This thread could mostly be closed already because he came ,took the advice, thanked and that's all. You don't have to be aggresive towards everybody.
