after being rejected last month

i have been having dreadful days until today
so today i went to the library to work on some school stuff
and i happen to talk to a girl who is my friends friend
we started talking i got her e mail and her phone number
so then we went seperate and did our own studying
and just as i was leaving
she asked me if i wanted to come to the dance that was happening at her school
i said ok because i kinda felt attracted to her after talking to her

the dance happens 2 weeks from now
and i have a little problem

i dont know how to dance

what the hell am i suppose to do there

can anyone post their highschool dance experiences T^T
and how they got over the dancing part

99% of the kids can't dance at the High School dances anyhow, so don't get too scared. Everyone is just doing what everyone else is doing...holding onto each other and kinda slowly moving your feet....thats about it.

Just let her know that you really don't know how to and I'm sure she will tell you the same. This isn't the 60's and 70's anymore where our parents actually taught us how to do this kinda stuff. You aren't alone.

Go watch the fresh prince of Bell Air, and take special not of Carlton. And the motto here is: innovate, don't imitate. So perhaps have a look at Footloose, Dirty Dancing, etc....throw all them moves together, mash em up nicely, and then you're good to go to impress the ladies.

you know whats messed up , i still cant dance and i go clubbing sometimes ... yes i move and everything , not like techno dancing or shit , i try to dance but im pretty sure i make a fool out of myself , then i look around and just stare and someone close to me dancing , and i notice they look like shit dancing also , so i just keep doing what i was doing that makes me feel good .

i do know how to dance merengue and salsa , bachata ... but its not all clubs i can do that and also im not that good at that either ... probably because i dont really have that "inner dancer heat " in me ... wtv , im not much of the type that hangs out in the club scene .

dont sweat about it , eventually either youll learn or nobody will care about that and your looks and personallity are supposed to be the center of attention , not the way you move .
